UAT: Master Degree Program
The University's Master of Science degrees are designed to facilitate the practical application of knowledge in a specific discipline of advancing technology. Our programs provide immersion in an intellectual atmosphere and innovative culture where multidisciplinary minds create and thrive, and where innovation is necessary to every student's educational goals.
Graduate courses are balanced between theory, individual research and practical application to provide a solid foundation of experience for advancement in an evolving field. Master of Science candidates develop critical evaluation skills to extend knowledge into fresh, original areas of inquiry and scholarship.

Degrees available within the Master of Science program are:
The University provides within its Master of Science program an intellectual atmosphere in which a wide range of multidisciplinary technology, research and innovation creations can thrive. The program is designed to allow graduate students to pursue advanced coursework in applied advancing technology disciplines. Students entering the program without undergraduate and/or professional experience within the discipline being studied will be evaluated for proficiencies in the discipline as part of the admissions process and may be required to complete additional coursework considered foundational to advanced study in the area.

Master of Science in Technology Program Requirements

Program Length in Weeks: 60
Program Core Credits: 12
Minimum Program Elective Credits: 24

Minimum Total Semester Credits: 36

Graduation Requirements

Students enrolled in the Master of Science program will graduate with a Master of Science degree when they have:
  • Successfully completed the required core classes and met all core objectives
  • Successfully completed the minimum number of required credit hours.
  • Achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0/4.0.
  • Successfully defended their Thesis.
  • Completed the Application for Graduation.

Program Core Objectives

  • Research advancing technology topics.
  • Develop the ability to lead and manage in a technology-oriented environment.
  • Utilize theoretical as well as applied knowledge.
  • Acquire a basic understanding of statistical methods for use in research and problem solving.
  • Compose and defend a master's thesis.
