UAT's Bachelor of Arts programs emphasize creativity, design and media arts in a technological environment. At the core of these programs is an understanding that multimedia reaches into everyone's lives, virtually all of the time, because it encompasses the primary senses of sight, sound and touch. It is communication through technological means--the artful and striking presentation of information--and it is the search for impact and appropriateness in how design leads to substance. Students within this program, regardless of major, will gain an appreciation for this concept and will understand its application within their discipline.

General Education Requirements

Minimum 36 total general education credit hours, including:

Humanities
Minimum 15 credit hours (including ENG101, ENG102, and COM226)
Social Sciences
Minimum 9 credit hours (including SOC150 and PSY150)
Mathematics
Minimum 3 credit hours for Bachelor of Arts
Natural and Life Sciences
Minimum 3 credit hours for Bachelor of Arts

Advanced exposure requirement
Minimum of 12 credit hours at 300/400 level. These credits require another general education course as a prequisite, and represent a topical extension of prior general education studies.

Graduation Requirements

Successful completion of requirements in an approved Program of Study.
Completion of Senior Innovation Project, portfolio or capstone requirement. These requirements include the submission and review of primarily digital artifacts to demonstrate the student's capabilities within the discipline being studied.
Successful completion of an Internship.

Taking all recommended credits within a major may result in minimum credit hours required in the degree program exceeding 120 in the Bachelor's program and 60 in the Associate's programs.
