Student of the Month
Name: Tylene Graham Why did you come to UAT? I was working at Olive Garden and going to community college in Gilbert, Az. I used to serve Ron Floyd's son's family on a regular basis. They told me about UAT and here I am. What inspired you to pick your educational program at UAT? I have been interested in Graphic Design since I was in High School. How do you think that your studies here will help you in your future career? UAT not only offers lots of opportunities to gain real life experience, but also teaches courses in the latest trends in the field and latest technologies. What kind of advice would you give to people who are selecting a school? I advise them to go to Community College first because there is a lot to learn about college outside of classes. From there a student would have a better understanding of what type of school is right for them. UAT is a specialized school and it takes a dedicated student to appreciate it. What kind of advice would you give to students at UAT? Stay dedicated and work hard. You'll be surprised at who notices your hard work. What has been your experience at UAT? My experience at UAT has been awesome. I have been here two semesters and already accomplished more in the past two semesters than I have in my whole life. I have retained a 4.0 GPA, worked at an internship, and gotten a job offer. Describe some of the projects you are working on at UAT. Currently I am working on organizing an art sale for the UAT students to have an opportunity to sell their art for money. We are hosting the art in one of the teacher's galleries in downtown Phoenix in the art district. What are your sources of inspiration during your projects that you do at UAT (or have done in the past)? I usually survey other artists work and style on the internet or in books. Where do you want to work after graduation? I want to work in a small design firm making lots of money. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? I see myself not being a struggling student and starting a life. What's the ultimate dream for your life? The Ultimate dream of my life is to be financially stable and successful in order to support a beautiful loving family. |
