Graduate Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or completion of at least six (6) semesters of undergraduate coursework at the time of application

Applying Online

Technology degree graduate candidates can apply and submit admissions essays online for optimal convenience.

Applications for admission to our technology University require pertinent information about prior education, current educational goals and personal data. As a graduate candidate, you will prepare and include a 500 to 1000-word essay in which you discuss your career aspirations, project/research interests and educational goals, and why you feel this technology degree graduate program will help you achieve them.

UAT welcomes international students as part of our technology college’s diverse culture. Specific eligibility and application requirements apply.

International Undergraduate Admissions Requirements – On Campus/Online

Who is eligible? Non-US citizen who possesses at least a bachelor's degree.

  • Official college transcripts
  • An academic resume (detailing your skills, training, and life experiences)

All Official transcripts must be submitted with an English translation. In order to determine that a student has received the equivalent of a US High School Diploma or a US Bachelor’s degree, UAT may request that your official transcripts be evaluated the Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc., P.O. Box 17499, Milwaukee, WI, 53217-0499, USA (http://www.ece.org) or another outside agency. After international students are issued a visa to attend UAT, they will receive health insurance with a non-affiliated insurance provider. Federal law requires mandatory health insurance coverage for all international students studying in the United States. International students who will not be issued a visa through UAT and who already have health insurance coverage will need to show proof during their course of study. If a student does not have insurance coverage and would like to obtain it, they may contact the Registrar.

If an applicant is not a citizen of a nation where English is the official language, then he or she must provide proof of English proficiency. Documentation of any of the following will show proficiency:

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a score of:
    • 80 or higher on Internet-based test
    • 213 or higher on computer-based test
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE) score of 53 or higher
  • Successful completion of Level 112 from an ELS Center
  • Attendance for one year at a regionally accredited US college or university and completion of English 101 (or equivalent) with a grade of C or better
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0
  • Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) score of 760
  • Completion of a bachelor's degree or equivalent from an institution where the medium of instruction was English

One of the above must be satisfied for consideration. Proof of One of the above must be satisfied for consideration. Proof of English proficiency is not required if English is the applicant’s native language.

Tuition and Fees

Our technology college tuition structure not only optimizes the value of your education but also supports the adventure of both exploration and technology innovation in your graduate technology degree program.

Fast Facts about UAT Tuition:

UAT has introduced a locked tuition program for our technology degree students. When you complete enrollment, the tuition published at that time will be your tuition for the duration of your studies at the University (provided you are actively enrolled in the University). This affords you the ability to plan for your entire program and alleviates the stresses associated with an increase in tuition over time.

On-Campus Graduate Student for the 2016 Academic Year (2 semesters)

Graduate tuition is $8,250 per semester.

Miscellaneous Fees

The non-refundable seat deposit to accompany the enrollment agreement for graduate and undergraduate technology degree programs:

  • US Residents and Non-US Residents $250

In addition to the non-refundable seat deposit, non-US Resident students enrolling as International students will also need to remit the following deposits:

  • A non-refundable deposit towards insurance of $750
  • A tuition deposit (See the Refund Policy for more details) of $1,000

The transfer credit fee is $100. This is a one-time fee for all transcripts evaluated during the admissions process.

The Resource Fee for all students is $300 effective May 1, 2016.
