How To Apply

The University strives for diversity in our classrooms, and welcomes students with a variety of cultural backgrounds -- including international students.

Our admissions department will walk international students through the entire enrollment process, whether you plan to attend online through UAT-Online or our campus in Tempe, Arizona. Since there are special considerations when international students apply, please read this information thoroughly.
Admissions

View our admissions process for our international students on this page, or use our online application.
The UAT Admissions Process

Step 1: Review the academic requirements before applying for admission.
Step 2: Apply for admissions by a mailed form or our online application.
Step 3: Send in the required academic and English proficiency transcripts
Step 4: Receive notice of your acceptance status
Step 5: Complete the enrollment paperwork, including financial support documents and visa application forms

Congratulations! If you have been granted conditional (or pending graduation basis) acceptance or official acceptance, then it is time to start the enrollment process (step 5 above).
This entails:
  • Sending in any remaining transcripts required for admissions
  • Filling out your enrollment packet
  • Providing proof of your financial status
  • Starting the Visa application
Send in the Transcripts

Please Note: If you have been granted conditional (or pending graduation basis) acceptance, UAT is still awaiting official verification that you meet academic and English proficiency requirements. Final approval and acceptance will not be granted until we have received your official documents.

Your Academic Transcripts
Official high school and university transcripts earned outside of the United States must be submitted to the Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc., P.O. Box 17499, Milwaukee, WI, 53217-0499, USA (http://www.ece.org). Official transcripts are required. An official document is an original or true copy that shows the seal, stamp, or signature of the institution. In cases where direct submission from the reporting institution is not possible, the applicant must have all originals certified as true copies by an official of the institution attended, a Notary Public, or a U.S. Consular official and submitted directly to the University.

The cost of this evaluation is the student's responsibility.

Talk to a Communications Coordinators about obtaining the application for evaluation and the forms involved.
English Proficiency

All students must provide proof of English proficiency in one of the following ways when they apply for admission:
NOTE: All students with English as their primary speaking language are waived from below requirements.
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) including Test of Written English (TWE) with a score of 550 or higher.
  • Successful completion of Level 108 from an ELS Center.
  • Attendance for one year at a regionally accredited U.S. college or university and completion of English 101 and 102 (other equivalents) with grades C or better.
  • ASPECT English Language Proficiency Level 5
