Current Faculty Employment OpportunitiesAll Faculty members
develop and deliver courses in both the synchronous and asynchronous
environment for UAT. Course development and delivery involves full
curriculum creation and use of UAT course administration tool
(eCompanion), continuous grading and feedback, daily email usage,
timely grade submission and other activities related to course and
student instruction at the university. UAT does not support foreign visas.

International Student Specialist
International Student SpecialistFull Time Position $33,000 to $37,000 annually, dependent on educational credentials. The International Student Specialist (ISS) is responsible for timely and accurately processing and producing certificates of eligibility for international students and coordinating the University's international exchange program. The ISS serves as a Designated School Official for international visas and the Responsible Officer for the international exchange program. The International Students Specialist will problem solve a variety of complex immigration issues requiring considerable knowledge of immigration rules and regulations and will work closely with immigration officials facilitating the issuance or reinstatement of proper documentation. Accordingly, the ISS must maintain expertise in F-1 and J-1 regulations and have knowledge of immigration laws and Department of State and Department of Homeland Security regulations. The ISS manages procedures for accurate and timely reporting to fully comply with all regulatory requirements, including SEVIS requirements. Essential Duties:
- Minimize time interval necessary to accurately process I-20 certificates.
- Interact with domestic and foreign government agencies regarding student visa processing issues.
- Provide necessary direction and support to enable students to complete visa application paperwork.
- Compliance with regulations and timely and accurate reporting.
- Provide regulatory agencies with timely and accurate information and required reports.
- Manage and update SEVIS database.
- Comply with all regulations for issuance and maintenance of student visas.
- Coordinate International Exchange Program.
- Ensures that exchange visitors obtain sufficient advice and assistance to facilitate the successful completion of the exchange visitor's program.
- Conducts official communications relating to the exchange visitor program with the Department of State, the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service, or the United State Department of State.
- Acts as custodian for the control, issuance, and distribution of Form DS-2019.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree is required. Masters preferred.
- Expertise in F-1 and J-1 regulations and have knowledge of immigration laws and Department of State and Department of Homeland Security regulations.
- Strong communication skills, basic computer usage skills, problem solving ability, and be a self motivator.
- Minimum of one year experience in international exchange, including selection, screening, orientation, placement and oversight of foreign nationals in exchange activities.
